Peggy Furlin

Peggy paints with watercolor and acrylic.  She uses experimental design and paints from her unique perspective.  She begins her work with an initial color palette and puts down colors to cover that “intimidating white canvas”.  A current favorite color palette begins with gray and black accented by a splash of color.  Currently yellow is the favorite splash of this writer.  Peggy paints and shows art at her studio, Tossed and Found Art, 301 West Lake Street which she shares with her husband Bruce Furlin who specializes in mixed media assemblage. Peggy also shows at Hatch Art House on Williamson Street in Madison WI. Currently Peggy is working on paintings she will show during the Earth Wood and Fire artist tour held October 23 and 24 from 10-5.  See earthwoodandfiretour.com.  Peggy appreciates things unique to Lake Mills.  Our beautiful lake, the Millpond bridge and the 3 Sisters Boathouses.

Bruce Furlin

Bruce creates assembled mixed media art objects. He reclaims junk and other vintage items that may otherwise end up in a landfill.  Interesting items inspire him to create. He is currently preparing for the Madison Art Fair on the Square to be held Saturday September 25th and 26th on the Capitol Square, one of the Midwest’s most popular celebration of the arts. Bruce’s art is available to view at the Tossed and Found Art Studio at 301 West Lake Street in Lake Mills, at Hatch Art House in Madison WI, and at The Artless Bastard in De Pere WI.  He can be found online through Instagram @tossedandfoundart and Facebook @recycle4peace.  Bruce’s work makes you smile and makes you wonder.
