About the Arts Alliance 

 

History

The Arts Alliance of Greater Lake Mills (AAGLM) was created in 2005 by local residents to make the arts part of every day life.

AAGLM supports, develops, and promotes the visual, literary and performing arts through an alliance of individuals, organizations and businesses in order to enliven, entertain, educate and enhance the quality and economic vitality of Lake Mills. This growing organization needs the support of everyone in the community. 

Mission

The Arts Alliance of Greater Lake Mills serves to sustain and promote a viable cultural climate in the greater Lake Mills area by:

  • Creating educational opportunities and financially supporting arts endeavors in the community;

  • Attracting economic enterprise through area artists and resources;

  • Connecting artists with each other through meetings and AAGLM sponsored events;

  • Assisting other local organizations in promoting cultural activity in Lake Mills;

  • Enhancing the culture of the Lake Mills community by providing leadership, advocacy and support for the arts.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: The AAGLM has volunteer opportunities on the following Committees:

  • Public Art - Volunteer time, and/or materials

  • Social Media - Share content to your social media network

  • Arts Festival, July 2024 - Volunteer time, and/or materials

  • Fundraiser Events - Fish Sticks - Volunteer time, talent, and/or materials. Materials would be scrap wood, metal, and other items that will be used to make artistic fish.
